Harry Benson is a legendary photographer who has photographed countless celebrities, royalty, and every United States President since Eisenhower. Notably, he was friends with Bobby Fischer (well-known for having very few friends and being a very private person) so the photos that Benson was able to take of Fischer show a little-known side of the chess master.
In the fall of 2018, the World Chess Hall of Fame featured an exhibition titled "Harry Benson: Kings and Queens" which highlighted a multitude of important photographs taken by Harry Benson, including the Bobby Fischer photograph found on this postcard.
