LINDA DIAZ is a singer & songwriter from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. In 2020, she won the NPR Tiny Desk Contest with a live rendition of her song “Green Tea Ice Cream” beating out over 6,000 entries nationwide and solidifying her place in the alternative r&b sphere. Her genre bending sound is anchored by her skillful poetic lyricism, soulful voice and jazz sensibility.

Linda is also the co-host of the award winning PBS musical education series “Sound Field” and a former competitive chess player. Known affectionately by her nickname “the Tank,” she played internationally for 13 years and won several titles before retiring from competitive chess to go to college.
