Join us for an evening of live sewing inspired by the portraits
and pins in the exhibition Open Files: Celebrating 5 Years of
Collecting. Visit the exhibition, try your hand at continuous line
drawing, and have your portrait sewn by Tucker Pierce!
Tucker Pierce, founder of Westminster Press, wields a sewing
machine to create custom sewn portraits of people and pets.
He pushes gender boundaries with his fiber arts, crafts, and
hand-printed posters. For the past two years he has been
“live-sewing” custom portraits on pins and patches at events
throughout Saint Louis.
*$5 Admission available for World Chess Hall of Fame members.
This workshop is limited to 20 participants, advance registration is
required. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are provided.
