Artists Talk: Martin Brief, Bruce Burton, and Michael Drummond
Wednesday, April 12, 2017 | Doors Open 6:00 p.m. | Event 6:30 p.m.
World Chess Hall of Fame, 3rd floor
Join us for the first in a series of talks with artists from The
Imagery of Chess: Saint Louis Artists, Martin Brief, Bruce
Burton, and Michael Drummond. Each artist will take
time to discuss their contribution to the exhibition, demo a
process, or provide an insider’s look at the concept before it
all came together, followed by a Q&A. Some topics include:
modernism, suiseki, disrupting the balance, knitting, the
Queen, and collaboration and opposition. After hearing
from the three artists, the audience is invited to ask
questions, explore connections, draw conclusions, and
imagine possible collaborations between the three artists.
Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are provided.
